CARLO
Hi! My name is Carlo and this is my blog! I was an assistance dog in training with the organization, Canine Companions for Independence. I lived with my puppy raiser for about a year and a half and then went to college (aka "Advanced Training"). While in college, I decided that I didn't really wanna be an assistance dog... so I came home! I'm now what is called a Change of Career (COC) dog. And, boy do I have a busy career! Not only am I best friends with my pal (my human... who was my puppy raiser!), but I also do animal-facilitated therapy work! My pal and I are a registered pet partner team through the Delta Society and we are a registered Reading Education Assistance Dog (R.E.A.D) Program team.
LUCKY
My name is Lucky and I rule the roost. I'm the pet dog. And, I help my pal raise all of these assistance puppies. It is not an easy job!
GERRIT
Hiya Everyone! My name is Gerrit and I was raised after Carlo! That makes me the 5th puppy my puppy raiser has raised for CCI! I headed off to doggie college (aka Advanced Training) in Aug of 2009. I'm working hard in college right now in the hopes that I'll someday graduate! But, I'm also doing what I do best... being the class clown!

This book is filled with stories of the journey of CCI assistance dogs, volunteer puppy raisers, and graduates. My puppy raiser has this book and she always gets tears in her eyes when she reads some of the stories.
Life is Good
My puppy raiser has this book too... courtesy Uncle G & Auntie S! This book was written by a dog named Trixie... she is a wise dog who talks about how good life is!
